What exactly is a ceramic coating? A ceramic coating is a silica based liquid polymer that can provide many years of protection. Protectants of the past were applied and remained on the surface of the cars paint. A ceramic coating when properly applied bonds to the paint creating a durable long lasting protective layer.

This type of coating is ultra hydrophobic and helps keep your car much cleaner and stays cleaner for a longer period of time. The less dirt and contaminates that stick to your paint, means that there is less of a chance for long term damage. The coating is crazy slippery. Dirt, bugs, tar, and more find it difficult to stick.

The shine is extra reflective and shiny… like glass, hence the silica base in a ceramic coating.

Should I have my car coated? It depends… It would depend on a few factors… How will you maintain your vehicle? what is the current state of your cars paint?

Can I still drive through my local car wash? Truth be told…. we don’t ever recommend driving your car through a car wash. More often than not that is where many scratches and swirls occur. We offer maintenance hand washes to help keep your car or truck looking new.

My car has PPF (paint protection film) or has been wrapped. Should I have a coating applied. A resounding yes! The coating has the same level of protectant to the PPF and any wrap… or vinyl stickers you may have on your car.

How long does the coating last and perform? We apply a 5 year dual layer application. Should the coatings hydrophobicity start to diminish we recommend a maintenance “top up wash”. In addition every six months a decontamination wash to help remove any decontaminates and “top up” the hydrophobic elements of your coating.

Run away shopping carts will still dent and scratch your car… ceramic coating don’t make your car bullet proof. If you love to park under that maple tree dripping fresh sap and you just let it bake in over time … it will potentially cause damage to your paint.
